Timeline of the Home Decorators Club:

  • 2012: the Home Decorators Club was born from the shared passion of a small group of home decorating enthusiasts seeking to deepen their understanding of home decor. The visionary spark for this gathering came from interior decorator Jonelle Tannahill, the club's founder, and her daughter Jenna. Motivated by the desire to assist Jonelle's clients in finding joy in decorating their homes, the duo envisioned a community where individuals could come together for events, education, share ideas, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. This humble beginning marked the inception of a vibrant and collaborative space that would evolve into the Home Decorators Club, fostering creativity, knowledge, and a sense of community among home decorating fans.

  • 2013: HDC made a dynamic debut with its first-ever meeting at Macy's in Roseville. Drawing in 33 enthusiastic individuals, the inaugural gathering set the tone for the HDC's journey. Attendees eagerly delved into discussions on furniture buying, mastering the art of arranging vignettes, and honing their skills in selecting the perfect mattresses. This milestone marked the beginning of the HDC's commitment to education and collaboration within the world of home decor.

Over several days, dedicated HDC members came together to decorate the home for this meaningful fundraising event. The festivities garnered attention from Good Day Sacramento, with Jonelle's interview and the enthusiastic support of a dozen members turning up for the event. Today, members proudly assume roles with the Loomis Basin Holiday Home Tour as event chairs, decorators, and docents, making it a cherished tradition within the HDC community.
