Celebrate America Recycles Day from Home

Ready to get creative? Here are a few easy ways to make sustainable choices and upcycle items in your own home:

1. Reimagine Old Furniture: That well-loved pine bed can be repainted for a guest room, a dresser could become a kitchen island, and any cabinet can become a sweet bedside table with a coat of fresh paint.

2. Repurpose Containers: Empty jars or tins can store pantry items, craft supplies, or serve as planters for small succulents.

3. Turn Fabrics into Functional Pieces: Turn unused sheets, curtains, or tablecloths into reusable shopping bags, rags, or even pillow covers.

4. Get Creative with Decor: Tin cans can be reused to make lovely centerpieces for weddings.  Wine bottles make lovely candle holders, or centerpieces with a little added décor. You can remake candles by re-pouring with was all of your "spent" candle jars.  Its fun to re imagine items you are no longer using.
