Why Decorate for The Holidays?
Is this the year you "Go Big"?

I believe sharing the holidays with family and friends is an important and memorable time. Like my mother, I often made my own special décor pieces for our family home. In the1980s, when my daughters were growing up, I wanted to keep that tradition alive by making Christmas ornaments and decorations for our home. I was committed to creating memories—like the moments I remembered as a child and was now building in my own family. Below hand made felt mice Christmas Ornaments

Over the years I’ve seen many trends; holiday ornaments, embellishments, florals and trees, which have changed and new decorating styles have evolved. Below is our tree from 1973. I see a mix of collected and made ornaments, and did you notice the tinsel?

Whether you’re inspired by your love of family, vintage ornaments, nostalgia, tradition, or you’re looking to create a home filled with trend-setting holiday magic, I invite you to become your own designer and to create your own holiday impressions. I love to share my inspirations, holiday decoration "before and after’s", and DIY tips and tricks for designing your own holiday look.
Follow my Facebook posts, Pinterest photos, and Instagram images. They all create innovative decorating styles while using simple designs techniques. Below is our family room last year.

I love combining old traditional decor with fresh new schemes. I also enjoy sharing images of my home and my clients’ homes during the holidays. It reminds me of why I began this journey, and I’m proud to know that people along the way might be inspired, and feel a part of it.
Buffet tables are fun to do as they highlight an important meal or event.

Bedroom are fun to decorate. Decide on a theme like say Penguins, then pull out your black, white and red decor.

And why not decorate your bathroom with a little whimsy, a few bubbles and a melting snow man!

So invite a few more friends over, tis the season after all, and enjoy your home all dressed for Christmas. Here is 2020's living room tree at my house. Are you ready to get started? Are YOU going BIG this year?? Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
